Description

Before capturing the hearts of college football fans across the country with his infectious energy and now-iconic headgear selections, Lee Corso commanded the gridiron. This autographed baseball with hand-painted artwork from Charles Fazzino has been embellished with three-dimensional details and genuine crystals is the perfect collectible to celebrate Corso’s incredible career both on the field and television. A proud alumnus of Florida State University, he suited up for the Seminoles for all four years of undergrad. Corso was a star on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball, notably holding the record for career interceptions with 14 until Deion Sanders matched him in the late 80s. He then launched a successful college coaching career, working his way to head positions with the Louisville Cardinals, Indiana Hoosiers and Northern Illinois Huskies. Corso transitioned to broadcasting in 1987, when he was hired by ESPN as an original member of the College GameDay team. He’s appeared on nearly every episode of the show for more than three decades and developed a well-known on-air persona, becoming a mainstay of Saturday mornings for many college football fans. This one-of-one baseball highlights each aspect that prove Corso is an icon, making it a must-have collectible for anyone who loves the coach and broadcaster. Additionally, this ball includes an individually numbered, tamper-evident hologram that can be verified online to certify its authenticity.
