Capitals Team Up with TikTok for New Jerseys and Exclusive Content

TikTok has officially announced a partnership with the Washington Capitals, expanding its collaboration to include the Washington Wizards, the Washington Mystics, the NBA G-League’s Capital City Go-Go, and NBA2K’s Wizards District Gaming. The partnership, set to run through the 2026-27 season, will impact various aspects ranging from in-arena branding to exclusive content on Monumental Sports Entertainment’s network.

Starting with the game against the Boston Bruins on September 24, the Washington Capitals’ white road jerseys will feature the TikTok logo. Additionally, TikTok is the title sponsor of the Capitals’ 50th Anniversary Celebration, which will encompass a series of events and initiatives commemorating 50 years of Caps hockey.

With over 387,700 followers and more than 10.3 million likes on their content, the Capitals offer a variety of engaging content, ranging from behind-the-scenes footage to player highlights, making them one of the most followed NHL accounts on TikTok.

Beyond the Capitals, hockey content is thriving globally on TikTok, with popular hashtags like #hockey and #hockeytok generating millions of posts. Kate Jhaveri, TikTok’s Global head of marketing, praised Monumental Sports & Entertainment for their innovative approach to engaging fans through behind-the-scenes content, mic’d-up moments, and exclusive access to players. Jhaveri expressed excitement about partnering with MSE as they celebrate 50 years of the Washington Capitals.
