Arizona to Unveil Tucson Thread Uniforms in Game Against Kansas State

Arizona’s football team is set to debut their new Tucson thread uniforms in a game against Kansas State this Friday night. The updated uniforms feature a script Cats helmet, red pants, a white jersey, and red numerals. This unveiling follows the introduction of white script Cats helmets back in July, marking a significant change in the team’s appearance for the upcoming game.

In the season opener against New Mexico, the Wildcats had to wear all-white uniforms due to a shipping issue with the Lobos’ road kits. The game saw New Mexico donning red jerseys with silver pants and helmets while Arizona showcased an all-white ensemble, resulting in a dominant 61-39 victory for the Wildcats.

Following their all-white appearance against New Mexico, Arizona switched things up by wearing red jerseys paired with white pants and helmets, offering a contrasting look to their previous game against Kansas State. The new helmets feature a departure from the classic streamlined block A design that has been associated with Arizona since its creation in 1989.

Historically, Arizona has faced Kansas State seven times, securing five wins, suffering one loss, and ending one game in a tie. Notably, this upcoming game will mark the first time Arizona plays in Kansas since their 23-15 victory over the Jayhawks in 1965, a significant event in the team’s history.
