Utah Reveals First Look at On-Ice Jerseys

The Utah Hockey Club, formerly associated with the Arizona Coyotes, is in the process of rebranding with a new name and mascot. While the official name and mascot are yet to be finalized, the team recently unveiled their on-ice uniforms at the NHLPA Rookie Showcase in Washington D.C.

Photographed by Sammi Silber of the Hockey News, the new Utah on-ice uniforms showcase a fresh look with mountain blue and white stripes. The jersey features “UTAH” diagonally across the front, a design that was first introduced at the 2024 NHL Draft for incoming prospects.

The color scheme for the Utah Hockey Club includes rock black, salt white, and mountain blue, with the stripes extending to the socks. Notable details include patches on both shoulders, likely to commemorate the team’s inaugural season in Utah. The team’s logo for the inaugural season has already been displayed at their practice facility.

While the home uniform has been revealed, the away jerseys are yet to be officially unveiled. It is anticipated that the road uniforms will feature white sweaters with inverse striping. As of now, there are no additional advertising or sponsorship patches on the team’s jerseys.

The team is currently in the process of selecting a new name, with six finalists in consideration: Blizzard, Mammoth, Outlaws, Venom, Yeti, or simply sticking with Hockey Club and using the abbreviation HC. The ownership group aims to have the team’s identity, mascot, logos, and branding ready for the 2025-26 season.

Josh Doan, son of Coyotes’ legend Shane Doan, is expected to secure a spot on Utah’s NHL roster following his appearance at the Rookie Showcase. Early projections position him as a third-line winger for the team.
