Kevin Durant and A’ja Wilson Debut USA Basketball Jerseys for 2024 Olympics
Team USA has unveiled the official basketball jerseys for the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics. The men’s team uniform was showcased by three-time gold medalist Kevin Durant, while 2020 gold medalist A’ja Wilson presented the women’s team uniform.
The new jerseys feature a distinct design compared to previous U.S. uniforms. The darker uniform incorporates a red base with white outlines and blue sides, while the lighter version showcases a white base with blue sides and accents in blue and red. This departure from the traditional blue-dominated color scheme sees red playing a more prominent role in the new uniforms.
Both the men’s and women’s teams are currently ranked as the number one teams in the world by FIBA. The men’s team boasts an impressive record of four consecutive Olympic gold medals, while the women’s team has secured seven consecutive gold medals in the Olympics.
Fans can look forward to seeing the teams in action with their new uniforms when the Olympics kick off in late July. The men’s team will commence their tournament on July 28 against Serbia, while the women’s team will start their campaign on July 29 against Japan.
The anticipation for the upcoming Summer Olympics is high, with both teams aiming to continue their dominance on the international stage. The unveiling of the new jerseys adds to the excitement surrounding Team USA’s participation in the prestigious event.
